I love this blower… but hate the batteries. Any sunjoe or snowjoe batteries for that matter. They are fragile and their safety lockout mechanism is activated easily, which completely and permanently kills the battery. For us, that looked like leaving the battery plugged in to charge over one night. Another looked like leaving a battery out in our basement for a week in winter. Both batteries never worked again. After market batteries are as cheap as $30, but these last less than a year as well.
Just know you will likely be investing in batteries yearly for sunjoe or snowjoe products.
I’m on year 5 on two of my small SJ batteries and year three on my big one. The only problem I had in that time was a charger that failed just before the warranty expired, but SunJoe took care of that very quickly.
The blower does chew through batteries very quickly but I’ve had good luck with mine.
