I hope their product is better than their commercials.

How magical is it?

Guess their product is about the same quality as the commercials… but has anyone actually tested it with the cable? I have a small not-cell-phone device that could use some amplification when I play games or watch videos on it… and while it’s own speakers are abysmal, it has a headphone jack.

Thanks for the link, staying away lol

If nothing else it will make a cheap gift. In for 3

I agree. It can’t be worse than the cheap bluetooth speakers I’ve gotten as gifts. Also found another review:

What is the point in giving someone a $10 gift that they will throw away? Might as well just give them a $5 gift card, costs you half as much and is worth $5 more to them than the junk product you got them.

Because it’s the thought that counts?

“It’s just like money, only more restrictive.” – Dilbert (and later Dilbert’s mom in the same episode) on Gift Certificates.

Dual speakers that’s cool!

I like gift cards more. I like cash more than that.

And hugs are nice too.

I usually just wish the person would have saved their money instead, maybe donated $10 in my name or something.

There is that.

Almost no one buys me anything anyway, so I guess I really don’t think about it much.

My one friend just renews my subscription to Coast to Coast AM’s internet stream every year in lieu of shopping.

Seriously, though, if anyone finds a review that mentions how it sounds using the CABLE, please post a link.

The person who wrote that review is a bone head. He didn’t even understand how the thing actually works. Then he compared a little battery powered accessory to a real sound system. Wrong and wrong. It’s not a sound system, it’s a battery powered accessory. It is surprisingly good when you put it in that context.
The device works by electromagnetic induction, not by sound amplification. The tool probably never even heard of Faraday’s law. It does not amplify the sound coming from your phone. It senses the EMF produced by the phone speaker voice coils and amplifies those. Completely different principle. And it does work. No, it’s not a sound system. It’s an inexpensive accessory. It works pretty well.
The sound box can be USB powered if you like, and you can skip the whole EMF thing and just plug your player into it with the supplied cord. It does sound better when played through the cord. “Better” is a relative term of course. Like a cheeseburger is better than a hamburger. It’s not fine dining. And this little sound box is not a sound dock. It’s a fun little accessory.

Some people may be expecting too much from this “sound box” and may be better off with something like this (which can work via BT or hardwired)…

As you can see, it’s more expensive, but might be a better choice.
