Not to be a downer, but way overpriced. Old stock, doubt lithium batteries have much life in them since most of this model were made about 6 years ago. Last review for it was over 3yrs ago. At this point a $40 cheap Chinese model will likely outperform this watch in all but durability. Shave the price down to sub $100 and it ‘might’ be worth the risk of buying, just be prepared to open it up and replace the battery yourself.
PRICE DROP!
Small Print: If you already purchased, that money will hop back into your pockets soonish.
Got any links for a watch that matches all the Suunto’s features for $40?
Don’t get me wrong, I have a Oukitel smart watch, paid like $50, but it has no GPS or BARO features. Still a cool watch, but I have a Suunto CORE watch from like 12 years ago. It’s been BEAT up pretty bad but looks good, takes a new battery every year, which I change myself, they made it easy, and though it’s not got fancy health monitoring features, it’s got the compass and baro that works well. I once wacked my wrist into a corner of a LARGE steel vice and I knew, just knew, I broke the face. Nope. Not even a blimish.
You might think it’s over priced, but the brand is pretty solid IMO. But I have issues owning a watch, rather it’s a dick tracy style Apple watch or Suunto that requires a recharged every few hours or days. Bottom line, I’ll go back to Casio’s as long as the battery last months.
There are several (different brand names like LIGE, but all the same) on a competitive Chinese website that shall not be named, for sub $40. It has GPS, and blood O2 monitoring and other features. I love my Garmin’s and spent a lot of $ on them, I think they are worth it for the website and other features, plus durability. But if I just needed a cheap smart watch I wouldn’t mind risking $40 on a cheapo Chinese brand.
