Dang man, I was all geeked thinking this was T-Fal’s first printer.
This is a great price! I think I paid around $90 on sale for ours and we’ve used it 2-3 times a week for months. I cannot vouch for cooking from frozen as we’ve never tried that but everything comes out perfect.
Sorry but I don’t feel this grill is nearly as good as the Cuisinart Griddler GR-4N (Ours is a staple in our kitchen), which has reversible grill plates, opens all the way to a flat griddle, and in the bundle I am listing on the mothership also includes waffle plates for $5 more than this deal here on Woot.

Not to mention that the OptiGrill has plenty of mentions concerning problems with the electronic controls.
[VMod edit: Cleaned up the URL. Also as noted below, it’s refurbished versus new here at Woot.]
Just a small note: The above bundle is listed as Refurbished, which may matter to some people.
I have both the Griddler and this T-Fal and love them both. I use the Griddler primarily for paninis, grilling chicken pieces for salads, the once or twice a year I’ll have hot dogs, and burgers. I use the T-Fal mostly for frozen items, thick burgers and chicken cutlets that I’ve forgotten to take out to thaw. I’ve made paninis on it too and they come out great. I have found that it cooks everything just right.
The T-Fal is slanted and the plates are not flat so throwing on stir fry chicken and stirring it around is not easy with this grill so points to the Griddler for that. I did have an issue with the unit not working at one point, just beeping or something. I don’t remember as it was a couple years ago. I got instructions from the manufacturer to reset the thing and I remember them being ridiculously long but it worked.
If I had to choose between this and the Griddler though, I’d choose the Griddler hands down.
Bought the T-Fal OptiGrill in October and I am very happy with it! I have grilled frozen burger/fish/turkey patties and fresh chicken breasts & burgers perfectly. I have grilled veggies with mixed results. I paid about $10 more but it was worth it then and this is even a greater deal… I recommend this product.
I’ve had one for a year or so since my condo association banned fire grills due to insurance. I had my doubts but it does a great job on steaks and thick chicken breasts (the only two things I’ve really done on it). I did frozen pre-formed burger patties once and I wasn’t a huge fan, but I think I was more tired of eating frozen burger patties than anything else. Picking up one for my parents for Christmas.
