Solid reviews (3.9 out of 5.0) over at amazon

Product Info

We had these at my office for about 3 years until we upgraded to airs. They were used heavily and survived a lot of falls (and helped ipads survive them).
Way better than the hinged ones we have now.
One great thing compared to most keyboard covers is that you can flip it backwards and use it as tablet still.

Does this keyboard/case have the necessary magnets to activate the auto sleep/wake function on the iPad? I have read several conflicting reviews. Maybe someone who actually has one can comment?

Solid Reviews on several similar items over at Best Buy

I bought this item the last time it was on Woot! (a month ago), and was very excited about the fact my iPad would have a keyboard. It arrived, I charged it for almost 24 hours waiting for a light to go on…nada. It was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Then Woot! took a couple of weeks to send me an RMA. I sent it back a week ago, and have still not gotten a credit for my return.

Buy this item if you want a 50/50 chance of being disappointed, then frustrated by Woot!

Hi there. I checked the tracking on your RMA. It hasn’t reached us yet. Allow 7-10 days to process once we receive it.

Is this the model that has the ? In the wonky location? I bought that model a few years back thinking it wouldn’t matter that much but it was much more of a hassle than I thought it would be. Otherwise loved the case. I’m hoping they’ve fixed it

Any idea if this will work for an Ipad mini 2?

…or will it work with an iPad Air 2?

I ordered this with the Nov. 21 offer, and it never shipped. Official response was it “was lost in transit” even though FedEx says never shipped.

Had to spend $18 more to get it from Amazon (it’s a Christmas gift).

All customer service would offer was excuses and apologies along with a future credit of $5.00. They said they could not get any more even from parent Amazon. And yet here it is again!

Thanks for nothing, Woot!

2nd Request from anybody… Does your iPad go to sleep when you shut the case?

Can this item be used expressly with the AIR 2?

For those asking about whether this will work with different iPads, you’ll need to look at the dimensions.

Here’s a list of dims I found on Wikipedia:

7.47 in (190 mm) (w)
0.50 in (13 mm) (d)

2:

7.31 in (186 mm) (w)
0.34 in (8.6 mm) (d)

3rd & 4th generation:

7.31 in (186 mm) (w)
0.37 in (9.4 mm) (d)

Air:
9.4 in (240 mm) (h)
6.6 in (170 mm) (w)
0.29 in (7.4 mm) (d)

Air 2:
9.4 in (240 mm) (h)

reviews at Amazon say no, it doesn’t have the magnetic auto shutoff thing.

i also bought this the last time it was on Woot! I was in need of a case. The keyboard was just a bonus.

Have to say it’s the best case i’ve had so far for my ipad.

Mine DOES NOT lock when closing the lid. I do not have mine set up to do this, but i tested it just to see since there were questions…

So if I read you correctly, the Air 2 is much too small for a fit with this targus case according to your specs page…correct?

Well, what I guess I’m saying is that it’s advertised for the Gen 2-4 iPad. Anything else is at your own risk because we didn’t try them on for size.
