Such a bummer, no shipping to Hawaii…
No reason, and I was totally going to buy this apparently wildly overpriced yummy-yummy…
If anyone just wants to buy some good curry paste try Mae Ploy or Mae Anong brand. I love both of these. A superior curry paste can really liven up your dish.
I use mostly yellow curry in my cooking regardless of dish because my little kids won’t eat it if it’s too spicy. Of the two brands of yellow curry above both are very flavorful and the Mae Anong is spicier. Both are available through Amazon. Costs a tad more to mailorder but it lasts a long time. The Mae Anong is a very large portion.
What is so special about these brands? These sauces and spices are much cheaper at the local Asian markets.
I don’t know, but if you shop at BigLots! you’re guaranteed to find plenty of Roland brand products. I’ve bought some Maya Kaimal Indian ketchup a few times and it’s good stuff. They sometimes have Maya Kaimal prepared foods at Costco, too.
They had these Maya Kaimal curry sauces at Wholefoods for $3 bucks a piece, so this seems insanely expensive. Prolly oughta look on Amazon or something, doesn’t seem like a deal to me?
I usually make my curries from scratch, grind my spices etc, these Maya Kaimal are however, very good I have to say…
Ditto on the Mae Ploy pastes, I have made my red curry paste from scratch and the Mae Ploy was just as good, if not slightly better, I was disappointed in a good way…
