I’m “right handed”, but swing from the left side… so, are these Mac compatible?

Never understood why they say they are “right handed” clubs, when it doesn’t matter if you are right handed or left handed. It’s all about which side you swing from, right or left side. You should say “Right Sided” to be accurate.

I’m right handed but left sided, which means these are USELESS to me… so stick’em!

I follow you. I’m left-handed but right-sided, so while these would fit, I don’t need another set of clubs. First time I’ve seen a set of irons on woot, I would be surprised if they do well.

You’re in good company, by the way. Phil Mickelson is right-handed and left-sided, and his dad taught him that way on purpose. It is even sillier than you make it out to be - the power comes from your lead arm, so they really should switch the names. Why do you think so many hockey plays shoot ‘left-handed’… It is because 90% of the population is right-handed and they get more power shooting ‘left-handed’. Also, I play tennis left-handed and my backhand is the same as my right-handed golf swing… The naming is backwards.

You hit a topic I’ve thought about more than once (clearly), but never talked about. If I tried explaining it to my wife, she would think I’m nuts.

Actaully if you if you are right handed it refers to the right arm being dominant in the swing. In this case facing the target if you are on the left side, your lower hand on the grip is your right hand, your left hand is just there for the ride, its the lower right hand that does all the work.

Now that that is cleared up, the irons are great. golf sales in general have been suffering a bit, new golfers coming int the sport are pretty thin. Yet despite this challenge the Rocketbladez irons were the best selling irons last year- by a lot.

I am right handed but hit from the left side but use the cross-handed grip. These clubs will be perfect for me because I swing backwards too and hold the club in a toe down position.

So, does anyone have an opinion on the quality of the clubs or the sale?

Great clubs but do yourself a favor and go to Golf Galaxy or whatever chain is near you and hit them. You will pay 20-30 bucks more but get to try both the steel and graphite shafts

Northcoast is right - go and try them: swing them, hit a few balls with them - before you buy. There is a different “feel” between a steel and graphite shaft.
