Note that these are Rocketbladez, not Rocketballs, tour irons, which means that these are “blade” irons and not cavity-back irons, thus they are designed for above-average golfers. If you are not a 10-handicap or less golfer these will probably hurt your game more than they will help. (I have one blade iron that I had custom-made for me 10+ years ago to try out when I was a 10-handicap golfer; when you hit it right it feels like butter, but you better be at least a 10-handicap or it will feel like hitting rocks.)

Interesting that someone in 'Sconnie bought one already, despite only being able to play 6 months out of the year here. Go 'Sconnie, home of one-time top US player in the world Steve Stricker!

I’m picking up a pair of these after not playing in years, so I’m prepared for sore hands. That said, while everything you said is correct about these being tour irons, they are likely much more forgiving than the REAL tour irons: the Tour Preferred MB’s

The mothership has these for $45.00 cheaper, $50 if you consider the free shipping.

Yup, that’s crazy that woot! would be more than Amazon, but looks to be the case, at least with the “stiff” clubs. Regular are $430 on Amazon and x-stiff are $600! Seems like a bit of a premium. I guess if you really wanted either of those two options there’s some money to save here, otherwise, No deal at all…

Don’t let the shape or look of this head fool you, this is a players club and not very forgiving. No its not a blade as in a stamped piece of soft steel in the shape of an iron, but its it has a very small sweet spot, very little offset. Players that would enjoy this club would have a single digit handicapper, a very repetitive and athletic swing, players with a legit handicap of 15 or greater could be frustrated with this club set. Don’t waste you money otherwise.

no lefty love…sigh

…you should consider yourself lucky.

I hit these at the store last week in my search for new irons. I wound up going with Ping i20’s over Titleist AP2’s and these. The Rocketbladez Tour didn’t have much feel in my opinion. I’d recommend hitting them before purchasing.

Since when is $399 more than $430? Are the Amazons the Tour edition?

Details, boyz, details…

Since when I posted that link, the stiff shafted set on Amazon was listed at $354.99 with free ship for Prime members.

Timing, son, it’s all about timing.
