The model I own allows you to control the amount of inversion. Teeter recommends you don’t go beyond 70% until you’re comfortable at that angle. It also says you’ll get the benefit of inversion without being fully inverted.
With the strap in place to keep you from going to full inversion, you can return to upright by moving your arms. It takes a little more effort at full inversion.
A Teeter is more expensive, but I’m consistently impressed with how well-made and sturdy this thing is. And because I’m hanging upside down, I’m glad I spent a little extra for a product I trust not to have a catastrophic failure.
Good info. I know someone who got an aneurysm from an inversion board. They didn’t die, but lost the ability to speak properly and spent quite a few months in PT.
Can someone compare this to the ep650 model? The only thing different appears to be the hand tests and foot rests. How’s the feel is one more comfortable than the other?

From our perspective, you really can’t go wrong with either! In the end, the quality components and precision balancing consistent with all Teeter models will ensure a comfortable inversion experience. Here’s a break-down of the differences.
Bed: While both models offer flexing plastic injection-molded beds, the 560’s ComforTrak design will hold the optional Lumbar Bridge and Acupressure Node accessories. The 700ia’s FitFlex bed does not accommodate those accessories, however it does come with the Decompression Arch which can be placed either under the lumbar or neck for added traction and support.
Handles: The 700ia features longer, padded Handles to assist with inversion in addition to Traction Bars that offer enhanced decompression and stretching options. The EP-560 offers shorter handles with an embossed angle guide.
A-frame: The 700ia offers a bit more robust frame size. The EP-560 has a raised Grip-and-Stretch feature on the lower bar. Both come with head pillows.
Ankle lock system: Both offer our pin-lock style ankle system. The 700ia features foam roller supports which were standard on our products for years. The EP-560 features our newer Ergo Embrace supports.
