green grotto, part IV

Status report. Just got home safe and sound. Had to take 3 different detours and what normally is a 2 mile, 5 minute commute took over half an hour and unknown miles. Fishtailed once coming down a hill but saved it in time to watch people struggle to get up the same hill. Glad I know how to drive in this weather. Others, not so much.

Nobody could do “Ghostriders in the Sky” like Roy Clark.

True, I grew up 1/2 my childhood in El Paso, TX where it is a dry heat like AZ. No seasons, just dry heat, like the inside of an oven LOL!

Looks so warm & comfy!
I did the opposite.
Grew up in San Diego. No real seasons there. 72 degrees June or December. Cool at night. Only a Santa Ana wind would bring much change.
Moved to Warshington. We have all the seasons & I really like it.
Here in Western WA, the Pacific ocean moderates temps (& brings rain). :cloud_with_rain::cloud_with_rain::cloud::droplet::cloud::umbrella::ocean:

Yep, that’s summers here! It’s sucks for about 4 months, but it beats shoveling snow! Where do you live now?

I do miss water! Do you get much snow up there?

I worked in a place like that for awhile, like a few months. During lunch break I always went for a walk. Had to get out.

Just a bit of snow, not every year. The max is maybe 8-10" but that’s rare & it melts in a few weeks.

forget the heat, I don’t want to be near poisonous critters. scorpions? spiders? snakes? nope.

the pharmacy is in the back of the store, so I can’t see outside either. but often going outside makes me not want to come back in.

we had a customer today who we had the police escort out of the store. her MD office called to warn us she was coming in and was bipolar and not having a good day. she wasn’t violent, but drove the pharmacist absolutely crazy. never a dull moment in retail!!

Virginia! Where sometimes we have 4 seasons, but summer is humid. Still, it snows a couple times a year, enough to plop on the couch with a blanket, hot chocolate, and Netflix!

Mb you forgot the gross ones like cockroaches. When Randy was in the army, they had one that was SO BIG in the mess hall, it moved a metal ashtray across the table.

eh, I saw a lot of those in college in FL so they (while still gross) don’t bother me as much.
