I just noticed that as well, which makes me think this is AI. And if it’s not that’s a type of detail that you can’t really get wrong.
I think this is one of those things where I would rather him be wearing boots than Carl having his nasty DAWGS out on my shirt. I do get why it deters from buying to some, I think this one just isn’t for you if that’s the case.
Besides, you’d need to raise the price for bare feet. At least that’s what my cat told me and he’s paying all our bills so he’d know.

Fair point. My intention was to subtly show Carl’s victory over the dungeon. Starting barefoot is part of the dungeon’s imposed conditions, so giving him boots was a way to show him breaking those rules. In fact, my first versions of the design show another text: “you will not break me”, but I ended up changing it to “Just one more chapter” as it is more related to book lovers. In my head the idea was brilliant, now I see it wasn’t.
