we have a sandbox and my sand does not look like that nor does it hold up like that. concrete mixed with sand?

Not all sand is created equal.

Yeah, some of that playbox sand is yucky. Won’t pack. Husband gets sand for the grandkids at a place that sells sand and gravel and that kind of stuff.

very true. . .some sand stays firm, even when wet. Stuff in our kid’s sand box is nasty and crumbles with a little moisture (maybe a high limestone content?)…stuff at the sand sculpting level is much denser.
