I bought this last time it was offered for my black lab and a chow lab mix who happens to be the size of a horse weighing about 106 lbs. The extra large fits Remy, the chow mix well but is a little loose on the lab. I’m going to buy her a large to see if it fits her better. Both dogs really seem to like it and I haven’t had any problems with the construction.
I bought one of these for my pit bull that could pull hard at times and also was good at getting out of other harnesses. I found when hooking to the lower front ring, he would frequently get tangled in the leash, so I started running the leash through the top ring and then hooking it to the lower ring. This helped with pulling, not getting tangled, and made getting out of it a little harder. He likes to roll in the road to scratch his back and eventually wore out one of the fasteners. Tried to buy another and they were out of stock, so ended up with another very similar brand. Would have bought the same one again.
Bought for my pit/lab mix who pulled like a banshee. I learned the hard way, Harnesses D O NOT STOP PULLING, in fact they make it easier to pull you! Can you pull something easier from your neck, or your chest? Same for a dog.
If your dog walks alongside you or behind you, and does not pull or lunge, this is harness is good.
If your dog pulls, do yourself & dog a favor by learning (YouTube/book/trainer) how to teach your dog to walk correctly. Small time spent=HUGE PAYOFF!
