Well those are nice and ugly. Yuck.
Found a good review: http://gizmodo.com/285034/hands-on-the-timex-ironman-icontrol-verdict-great-but
Would this actually work with an iPod Touch first gen, giving us an actual way of controlling our music without having to take it out?
Up next: Westinghouse iControl Toaster Oven with iPod Control. Toast your toast and crank your tunes. Works with your Mac.
looks really cool but scrolling down, it says that it is compatible with ipod touch 8gig and 16 gig…what about 32 gig? anyone know?
timex’s flippin sweet website
How well does this control the iPhone?
Here’s a pretty in depth review from GizModo
The watch is decent enough looking, but I don’t get the point of being able to control your IPOD from your watch. It really doesn’t sound like that big of a deal to me.
Looks pretty neat. Here’s a review: http://walking.about.com/od/music/fr/timexicontrol.htm
It doesn’t say it, but I’m assuming that since it works with Iphone 3G, that it works with Ipod touch 2nd gen.
Basically, I’m in for one.
iTouch touch screen is kinda touchy while you’re running or biking. And bulky to hold.
As a triathlete, I find the marketing on these watches amusing. It’s actually against the rules to listen to music during competition, and the ironman is no exception.
It would make for a neat training watch though, if only it also paired with a heart rate monitor.
Don’t care about the ipod function; I’ve had two of these Timex Ironman watches in the last 5 years and haven’t worn anything since Great for running, swimming, biking… and never taking off.
Do you have to have an ipod to use this watch?
$39.99 on Amazon with 4.5 *s
I don’t even care about the watch. iPods (especially the touch) cry out for remote controls, and I want a wireless one so I can keep my iPod in my messenger bag and control it regardless of the weather. (Apple employees, especially Steve Jobs, are oblivious to things like rain, snow, cold, and so on.) If you have an iPod and live anywhere that faces any of those conditions, this has to be worth considering.
