I don’t think I’ve seen that many *, **, ***, **** in any one ad.

Read it all carefully.

Not a bad price but the subscription services for OTA is a deal breaker for me. Not paying anything for using WMC and my 2 dual tuner TV cards in my PC. The only thing I purchased was MCEBUDDY that scans and removes adds/commercials, then converts to MP4 or other formats. So, why would one pay 15 a month for something that’s already free?

Why not just say something to the effect of 'some 3rd party services may require a paid subscription" rather than saying"Netflix unlimited streaming membership required" Because a Netflix subscription is not required to use a TiVo OTA and some people may not understand especially because you chose to single out Netflix and said nothing about Hulu which also requires a paid subscription.

And it’s a Netflix subscription, not a membership.

Please, no pretentious bragging here. Not everyone is as tech savvy as you may be. If you think that what you have is the same thing, you’re wrong. The end result may be similar but the experience is anything but.

I purchased this unit refurbished from Tivo in August and it lasted 3 months. POS unit in my opinion. Dropped programming with 3 different cablecards and Tivo kept blaming the cards. Had to reset it 3 times a day.

We bought a reconditioned Tivo from woot several years ago and got the lifetime service.

Within 2 years the unit died, Tivo allowed us to continue the lifetime service by buying another unit at basically full price.

It happened again a couple of years later, another almost full price unit bought.

And now it looks like our third unit is dying.

“Cablecards”? *This unit *records OTA (over-the-air) TV, not cable.
