Consider offering the great product detail page in the archive, I like reading what you write and even though I can’t buy yesterday’s product, more content is never a bad thing.

daily email option, drive sales and interest with a daily email, I would allow you to send me the daily special, and like a lab rat I would click through daily, since i know it is a 30 sec click, “yes I buy” “no I don’t”.
Great site and execution.
This TiVo does not include a TiVo subscription. To use TiVo prgogram guide, you will need to subscribe to TiVo service for around $13/month or you can get a lifetime subscription for around $300.
Just a question from a TiVo newbie: What’s the major difference between series 1 and series 2 units?
Pretty much a major difference would be the broadband connection (series 1 doesn’t have one, but you can hack it). Also the “Home Media” options currently pushed by TiVo won’t be possible on a series 1 machine.
What if I only purchased 1, but ended up wanting to get 2. Is there anyway I can change my order?
once you chose a quantity (up to 3 maximum), you’re stuck with it and cannot increase your order. You’ll need to find a friend and have them set up an account to get another one.
What model number is this “Series 1” unit?
I don’t remember any Series 1 units having larger drive space than 60 hours (60gb).
Thos.
I think you’ll notice it says “refurbished”. It’s clear somebody has slapped a bigger hard drive in these. It’s a pretty straight forward thing to do. I upgraded my old Sony Series 1 to 137 hours. This is a good deal since the hard drive alone will cost you ~$70.
Just got wootified for this deal
very sweet deal
REFURBISHED / RENEWED
Philips Tivo HDR120 120 Hour Digital Video Recorder
will spend the savings to wire this baby up for broadband connection as series 1 only has stock phone line out
RSS is a must. I don’t want to come to your site everyday!!! I want Woot in my aggie.
we’ve talked about this during our design phase and we agree that RSS would be a perfect vehicle – especially since we’re not too keen on the daily email idea.
our programming guys are working on a few remaining bugs/enhancements - unfortunately it may be a while before they can get RSS going as other non-woot tasks have piled up a bit.
In the meantime, thanks for stopping by!
woot:Snapster
anyone buy an extra tivo they can sell me?) $100 paypal. if ebay, please post link or put woot in title 8)
(woot - if you can sneak me one out, use cc on my account)
Well, I ordered one, and needed to order additional units. As you requested, I used a friend’s account (with my credit card info) and ordered 2 additional units. I received 2 of the 3 units, but the tracking numbers for both orders say they have been delivered. Somehow there’s 1 missing somewhere in the mix.
Like I said, I did receive 2 of the units and am happy. If the 3rd unit does not arrive, I want to know if my cc will be charged or not.

Woo Hoo! The 3rd tivo Arrived today along with the mouse and keyboard I ordered. I’m sorry for ever having any doubt, it was probably FedEx’s fault anyway. I could have used a surround sound setup in my bedroom, but oh well… I’m sure there’s something else I’ll end up buying from you guys! I’m a satisfied customer
Was this the first WOOT ever? Sorry I missed this one…
