Will this GPS tell give me an altitude reading?

vader voice. mmmmm. do want.

question: i realise i am nitpicking but i noticed on the description that the 4.3 mentions “lifetime update” but the description for 5 does not. is it only for the 4.3 then?

Excellent question ! I’d also like to know the answer

It would be nice to find an answer if the 55M has lifetime maps. Maybe a member of the Woot staff could direct us to the answer!

Checkin’ with the buyer. Check back for an update!

thanks!

If the model numbers are accurate, then 4.3" has lifetime map updates and 5.0" does not.

Who needs a TomTom when you have a smart phone with GPS navigation?

Someone who doesn’t want to pay international data roaming rates.

Can anyone confirm that these devices don’t have an SD slot? The manual isn’t much help.

how fast are you going?

Probably not…

I agree. No “M” in the model number of the “55”…

Can I assume that the model of the 4.3" is 45M not 44M? The page has conflicting numbers.

I purchased a refurb TomTom here several years ago. I have been most pleased with it! I do not have a Smartphone with GPS.
I did not think I would get lifetime map updates with it, but to my surprise I DO have lifetime updates. This is a great price. If you are on the fence, I’d say do it, you won’t be sorry.

I purchased a refurb Tom Tom here too. The unit has worked well, but be warned! My “factory refurb” did NOT come with the latest maps. And updating the maps was a real pain. I had to call TT customer service, confirm that TT SN was valid before they would let me download the latest maps. And the TT software was kind of annoying on the PC. But after that initial hassle the unit has performed very well.
