Amazon Reviews

Reviews and Video over at Newegg

In March I bought 2 128GB Flash Drives here for 22.99 each. I can see no reason to buy one of these.

Originally I had the same thought. But by themselves, those flash drives can’t be shared wirelessly nor accessed simultaneously by 8 people. Instead I see this as a very limited Raspberry Pi with one of those flash drives attached.

Seems like the Pi 3 plus one of those flash drives wouldn’t be way out there price wise, but would kick the shit out of this option feature wise.

But for people who don’t want to tinker, this is probably an excellent option.

I guess some of those features are so important that they need to be said twice!

Can you add additional storage to this? Can the microSD slot be used for expansion?

Lol. When it comes to 1080p60 video, this is not a whole lot of space.

This is actually an interesting device. Read the top review on Amazon.

Unfortunately, even though it has been available for two years, based upon the reviews, its functionality appears to have lots of rough edges.

@bowlingb, I suspect that claim refers to the the microSD slot which can be accessed wirelessly.

Yes lots of complaints about its usefulness in Amazon reviews.

I have a 128GB USB 3.0 Flash drive that I paid $27.99 for. Why would I want this? I can plug my flash drive into my router and stream wirelessly on my network and even access it away from home (if I were more ambitious and spent the time to figure it out).

Interesting device, i’m in for one. Plan to use it as a media server in the camper this summer. If I read correctly, everyone should be able to connect their tablets or phones to access the media on it.

Only 128G for this huge thing? What year is it??

Hope that helps.

The problem is it may not support all media formats. So check your files to make sure they’ll play before that trip.
