About this post
We have one of these… Not bad
Is this decent Does anybody know?
Does Upconverting a singnal really make that big of a difference? Shouldn’t you just get a high def player?
So they took the hd dvd drive out and this is what we get now? Bah
I love upconversion. Err, wait. No, it’s just alright.
It is a lot better than just regular DVD quality though.
Records up to 8 hours on 1 disc (TV tuner not included)
I always think it’s a great deal.
Then I see ‘refurbished’.
No Tuner - utter crap, stay away from it.
No Component Input, why???
No RF Input, nooooooooooooooooooo!
…at least it’s not Philips! Already had one of those die on me.
Anything with a HDMI connection is worth 59 bucks
I think this was offered about a month ago for the same price? I also seem to recall that it could be had for $20 more brand new and there were some negative comments about it choking on some DVDs that played fine on other units.
like the fact that I can record all my stuff I have saved on Tivo

Ferrrgettt It! spend 40 more bucks and get a basic new Panasonic that plays and records in all formats with its own built in tuner.
This is the proper Amazon link. I need a DVD recorder as my Time Warner Cable DVR is totally unreliable. I cant record in HD as it uses too much of the hard drive and wont hold anything.
