CPU Benchmarks

Time to learn all about the processor

Notebookcheck.net gives up the teh skinny on it’s graphical abilities.

The performance of the Radeon R5 M230 is similar to the HD 8500M series, e.g. the HD 8570M. Accordingly, the performance is somewhat below a GeForce 820M and hardly beats Intels HD Graphics 4600. Current and demanding games of 2014 will run fluently only in low resolutions and detail settings.

I’m really surprised a 17" laptop screen isn’t 1080p

I have had the Windows 7 version of a similar Toshiba laptop for several years, and it works great.

Toshiba laptops are very good for common tasks like viewing web pages, word processing, email, and so forth. 1600X900 resolution is perfect for a 17 inch display.

Their moderate price models, like this, make great travel computers or as a second computer when you’re away from your primary computer.

A laptop like this is NOT a gaming machine or a media center for all your movies, music, and photos. Toshiba does make laptops like that, and they all cost at least $1200 or more.

BUYER BEWARE!!! As one that bought this device on the last go around there is a hidden “gottcha” awaiting you. Mine was dead on arrival…obviously no refurb since the DVD/CD would not work at all. In order to send it back you will need to fork out an additional near forty dollar for a mailing label or spend sixty sending without use of their label/box offer for repair.

I’m very sorry for the experience you had. If it comes DOA, you can email into our CS team using the support tab above and we’ll take it back for a refund or send you another if we have more in stock.
