I don’t leave our umbrella up because, you know, wind. Does this need to be removed to put umbrella down?
If something slides down the pole as you’re lowering it, then yes, you’d need to get this out of the way.
Looks fairly easy. There’s a latch to close around the tube and a screw to set the height.
