I bought one of these for my wife a couple of years ago. She insisted she wanted a paddleboard and this was a great way to try it out.
These inflate to VERY firm and very buoyant, this isn’t like trying to stand on a pool float. They take about 10 minutes of serious pumping to inflate and you may think the pump gauge isn’t operating but stick with it, the needle moves a lot in the final few minutes. you must get them up to the full recommended pressure to get the perromance you’re looking for. I weight 240lbs and I can stand on the thing, it’s not as stable for me but it definitely supports my weight.
We bring this on our boat , it rolls up to about 1’ by 3’. While it’s entertaining to watch her try to use it, I believe we’ve confirmed that SUP’ing isn’t her thing. It would be nice to have a carry bag for it, maybe a hockey duffelbag would do.
All in all a good purchase, saved me about 60% to try out an activity we weren’t really sure about.
