We own 2 of these from a previous Woot. When they are rolled up they fit in the trunk of our Miata After they are inflated they are very firm. We take them out into the bay all the time, the bay is seldom calm so you get a very good workout standing on them. We’ve also taken them into the Peace River, it’s interesting to slowly be paddling along and notice the 8 foot plus gator swim under you. Or have manatee’s surface to check you out. Or have mullet jumping around you. We also own regular paddleboards but do not take them out as often as they are a pain to transport.
This is a surf board, you can go surfing with it. Do you know what surfing is?
I have zero experience with these sorts of boards, but from a price perspective this surely beats a fiberglass board. However its seems a bit heavy at 24 lbs and the shape seems rather flat to me. But that just makes it different, not neccessarily bad for a board that size…
Has anyone actually caught a ride on one of these? How does it feel? Does it keep up with a conventional glass surfboard? Does the nose tend to dig in?
This is an all around paddle board, which works for what 95% of paddle boards do - bays, lakes, rivers, open ocean, etc. While you can surf with it, for surfing, you are better off with a hard board. But paddle surfing is only like 5% of “paddle boarding”. This 6" thick inflatable works just as good as hard boards for pretty much everything except surfing.
Comparable boards are sold in retail for $1000. This is also the #1 selling paddle board on Amazon (that’s out of both hard boards and inflatables).
these are great! more fun than a kyak on typical lake water. @sshole speedboat flies by, crouch or go to your knees until the big wake goes by. otherwise balancing is exercise; and lots of it. go anywhere a kayak can go, as far as shallow water. love it! price is good , too. not pounding the table, but decent price. nice job woot!
