perhaps i’m just dense, but it’s not entirely clear to me: how many come in a single order? Are these sold in pairs, or singly?
(Or, more to the point, how many do I need to order to hang a single hammock?)

We got you covered! This is a set of TWO straps. Each strap is 12 feet long, 1 inch wide, and 16, yes 16 individual connection points.
1 set will allow you to secure any TRD hammock virtually anywhere you have two anchor points. BOOM!
What exactly does 16 connection points mean?
These types of straps are basically two straps stitched together at regular intervals to make loop points. You can clip on at any of these points to get the hammock to hang how you want.
I ASSUME that’s 16 points per strap (effective points will depend on the size of the tree/base), but the vendor can probably clarify better.
QUALITY POST!! This is exactly right. The connection points = the amount of loops available to connect the carabiners. You’re also correct in that if you’re hanging in the red wood forrest you may end up reducing some of your loopage there
Thanks!
And plan on taking an extra set of straps and a couple decent 'biners in the Redwoods. I’ve done it!
I already have a hammock but it is not a TRD hammock. Will I still be able to use these straps?
How much weight can these things hold? The hammocks say 400 pounds. What about these straps?
Max Weight: 250 lbs. (each; so 500 lbs. together)
Absolutely!
