Twix Full Size Candy Bar, 36ct

Both. Mars does not manufacture Twix. Rather they purchase them from the Left/Right Twix companies and repackages them as two packs for sale in the US. You cannot actually purchase Left or Right Twix directly from their respective companies because Mars has a contract to purchase their entire manufacturing capacity. It is only during Halloween when Mars repackages the Twix as single packs you can actually get individual Left/Right Twix, but even then you have to buy a large mixed bag of Left/Right Twix in order to do so.

Edit - And I’m sure there are questions as why the Left/Right Twix companies are not allowed to sell direct to customers in the US. This is a much longer and convoluted story that can not be made up on the spot than can be told here.

Disclaimer - This story may be a fabrication.

Freezing tends to change the texture and leaves a white haze on the chocolate. If you are fine with that, then sure.

Not if you eat it while it’s still frozen. Which is the correct way.

Last year, I orderd the super, duper, ginormous size bag of bite size Milky Way bars and whatever else was in the package. It was said here that Amazon was cleaning out their candy inventory. The expiration date on the bag was the same month I got it. It was 7 pounds of chocolates, 375 pieces.

I get it: these types of things are typically fine long after the expiration date. But if the expiration is close to the date on which you purchased, it, it was manufactured way back and has sat in a hot warehouse somewhere for a very, very long time. This may result in melted and rehardened chocolate that looks gross, or discoloration.

Sorting the Amazon reviews of this item, there are a bunch of recent reviews that report “stale” “broken” “crushed” and “inedible.” So I guess you take a chance. I’d be buying these as a gift and having them shipped to the recipient so unfortunately, I won’t chance it. If they were for me, I’d do it because I could return them. I doubt the recipient would report back to me if they were in bad shape.

I wish it were closer to Halloween so I can be, “that house”. You know, “that house”, the one with the full-sized candy bars. I don’t get a lot of people, so this would be the perfect size box. I’ve always wanted to be “that house”; the one were I’m the dude siting in a window of my dark house eating full-sized candy bars as I watch people approach a big bowl on the porch with a , “TAKE ONE” sign, only to witness the disappointment as they see an empty bowl with one full-sized Twix wrapper desolately moving around the bottom from the light wind of the autumn night.

We have a subscription for a milk-based coffee drink and it arrives expired every so often. They always replace it free of charge with expedited shipping, but it’s still a hassle.

Dang, I missed them. I dont believe any of these food items have an expiration date unless specifically stated that way. If there is just a date on a food item that is the bust by date. Some items are sti ll good for quite a while, while others can be good for years even after that date.

Thank you.

I love how you wrote a “bust by date.” If you ate enough Twix’s (which I wouldn’t mind doing), you’d certainly bust.

Freaking me out here, Woot. These already got delivered today.

Case says best before 01/2023, opened it up to uh… test, yeah, test. So my first test subject was delicious, may as well have just come out of the factory, no issues.

I’ll test a few more later. For science. Just to see.

You may need to test a few others so that you have a second group.

Then test some more to see if the results of the first group were the same as the second group.

Then test some more to try to validate the results of the test.

If they’re the same, you can eat a few to celebrate.
If they’re not, eat a few while reviewing the results to see what went wrong.

Mine show an expiration date of 2/2023 and look to be in good shape, so no worries there for mine. The one I ate was delish too.

I had better portion these with my vacuum sealer and get them in the freezer. That one tasted almost too good. I already hid the box from myself so I don’t see it and get the urge to eat another.

I just received mine as well (very fast!), and the best by date is 1/2023. The box is in good condition, and the randomly chosen Twix bar I just ate was whole and delicious.

To be fair, I’ve ordered other Amazon close-out chocolate from Woot!, and I’ve had mixed results in the past. One shipment of dark chocolate Lindor balls was only somewhat better than edible.

My box of Twix Full Size Candy Bars has a best before date of 02/2023. Box is in showroom retail condition.

I’m very pleased Woot, thank you!

They’re new. It’s possible that it was a returned box (undeliverable). If you’re unhappy with the item though, reach out to Woot! Customer Service.

From a browser, use the Woot! Customer Service form.

In the Woot! App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

Vacuum Sealer… From !Woot?
I do like the one I purchased last year.
If you are showing any strength to resist knocking out in one go, add a small hatchet inside the bag.

IN CASE OF NO CONTROL, USE HATCHET TO BREAK THE SEAL!

I do buy a lot of stuff from woot, but nah this one is a well reviewed Nesco I ordered from Amazon that keeps getting delayed… It had been out of stock, but I sniped one thanks to an alert from CamelCamelCamel on March 10th. But they apparently oversold their stock, since it was originally supposed to be here over a week ago.

Amazon told me they’d ship it as soon as one came in, but I’ve gotten two more “back in stock” alerts from CCC since then and it still hasn’t shipped. I had a couple whole pork loins to portion and freeze that I found on sale, and I had to use ziplocs instead…

So right now, I do wish I had purchased one last year from woot
