Brother Elmo’s is the same wine as the Racchus Red. It’s a specialized private label created for a friend/distributor of mine. His name is… Elmo! So, in a way, he is a brother from another mother
Aarrrgghhhhh! Missed it!! Teach me to stop and pick up my SH Mag, KR Port and PS shipments.
Anybody got 2 extra bottles???
ditto. anyone have one bottle I can purchase / exchange? java? bueller?
got these yesturday, no shipping warning etc. same new story.
so i was wondering if this is essentially the bacchus?
Hey, did we ever agree on a drinking window for these? Should I give them a minimum of a year? Will they benefit from extended cellaring?
I’m pretty sure Ty’s comment above (“drink them now, they only have a year or two left”) was in response to some 2002 and 2003 offerings.
Opened a bottle tonight. Lots of heat, recommend either leaving in the bottle (2012? 2013?) or decanting.
Thanks, Michaepf for the tip.
I’ve got some Twisted Oak from a while back to keep me warm in the winter and tide me over until the Ty and Corison I picked up matures a bit. And quite a few 2004 Brunellos laid up. 04 is a monster year for Brunello if you like the Tuscans.
And the Noceto is drinking nicely as a substitute for the Brunellos in the meantime.
