They have listed this item on WOOT! twice before, and each time I have gotten the same different (wrong) device. They send one that had only 3 LEDs, is NOT rechargable, but instead runs on 3 disposable (and not included) batteries. THAT item normally sells (not on Amazon) for about this price OR LESS. And each time though the manufacturer’s packaging clearly sets it is a different model#, NOT this model at all because the Amazon barcode sticker has this model number they ship it. Yes, they take care of you after the fact, but I wish I could just get one of these rechargeable lights. Should I try again ? Why not. Sooner or later they will either get it right or just run out of the wrong ones (yeah, “due to supply chain issues” like the late night TV commercials?).
Again, it’s Amazon inventory. Not everyone is getting the wrong item. The warehouse near you seems to have wrong/mixed inventory.
I think the Amazon warehouse serving my zip code is attempting to set the standard of ineptness within the Amazon system. I’m not blaming the persons or auto-pick-bord who pack the stuff to send out, but the dim bulbs in Amazon receiving group who can’t get a bar code onto items that match what the mfr. sent them. I have now ordered these from WOOT! 3 TIMES over the course of the last 7 months, and have received the wrong item each time. And I can’t do what I had done before, and simply order for delivery to a family member over in Indiana (their stuff comes from a different Amazon warehouse) because they moved 135 miles further south, so we don’t get to visit nearly as often…
