Words without links are nothing.

It’s two grand everywhere I’ve seen it (few cents less at Wal*Mart)

Reviews seem pretty positive on all sites - a good thing.

This stuff was not fun to put together. Drawers rarely went together, hitting both rails. I had to remove and shim the rails several times to get them aligned.
My experience…this is expensive particle wood. I wound not buy this again.
But, lots of options here.

Thanks - these are shown as “Classic” whereas the woot units are listed as “Pro”. No idea if there’s a difference since the company seems to use the same images for everything they sell…

EDIT:
From what I can tell, the “Pro” line has thicker shelves, higher-rated drawer rails, and different paint color. That’s it.

Shipping is $300, discount is $200. So - $340 more for 2 additional tall cabinets, one additional 2-door wall cabinet, and a 3 door wall cabinet (but lose the added “beef” in the shelves).

Hmm - I though I remembered similar comments previously but all I could find on the web are happy customers (albeit only one or two reviews on any given site). The MDF does scare me - it’s humid as all get-out here in FL and the stuff generally does not age well…

I really need something like this - but for this price these things should be awesome…

Decidedly on the fence…

My Life’s Motto: If its "BIG, COMPLICATED or EXPENSIVE AND I CAN NOT SEE OR TOUCH IT… I DO NOT BUY IT.

…just wait till you have to return something like this … that will cure you of buying something sight unseen.

But that’s just my opinion …

Thanks for the sanity check. I am in the market for a garage kit, but want something that will last. The discount does not MAKE me have to have it and the ‘sight unseen’ part is definitely a complication. I am in WA where it is wet and rainy all winter, so MDF may not be the right solution.

o got the 12 piece for 1699 at onewayfurniture.com, it was 2.5 yrs ago though. assembly of the large cabinets is a 2 man job, the others are easy for 1. once you put one together the rest are pretty simple, just rinse and repeat. steel cabinets are better, but for the same storage capacity you’ll pay 2x much. the drawers are a little stiff, the rails aren’t an easy glide. that said i had damage from shipping and customer service got me out a replacement pretty quick.

I also bought mine before there was a seperate pro line, everything was 3/4 then, they’ve made a thinner version since and the older stuff is “pro” now. at the price this 8 piece is at i would go with a steel product, such as gladiator personally, it would still be more but not that much more if you watch for deals. slickdeals.net has the gladiator deals posted frequently. Also I’m in fl, humidity hasn’t been an issue so far for the MDF. My garage door is west facing so it can easily reach 170 in my garage during the summer, the door becomes a Giant frying pan the heat hasn’t been an issue either.

Well I guess that settles that.

I’m sorry, I know you were still thinking on it, hopefully we’ll have it up again- we just aren’t able to keep a ton of those sets in stock.
