I’ve been trying to loose some weight and all my co-workers in my cube neighborhood are all rooting for me. They’re going to be so excited that I can run this thing silently under my desk all day long. They’re also going to be super stoked that I can take my shoes off and use the built-in foot massager.

…Satire aside, anyone have experiences? Is this unobtrusive in a normal quiet office?

Buy some silicone spray lubrication, it runs fairly quiet, no louder than an elliptical.

As Baldbear points out you should buy a decent lube. Remove the nut at the end of the pedal, lube the shaft (“that’s what she said”) and it will be very quiet. I use mine a lot and no issues with noise.

Can you do real work (working with PC) while you are using this?

I fear that walking into the office with a can of lubricant will only raise more question to the mysterious movements that are occuring under my desk, and the awkward expressions that will, at times, surely appear on my face.

Have you noticed that woots jokes are are pretty much just them telling the truth?

I brought mine to the office after lubing it (but not removing the nuts and bolts to do so. I even contacted the company re: the noise after first assembling it). It begins to squeak quite loudly after a few hours’ use, so took it back home. A waste of money; wish I had returned it. I don’t think you could work up a sweat much less get much exercise with this thing.

I’ve posted about this one before. Mine came with parts missing, contacted support 4 - 5 times no response. been a YEAR. It doesn’t fit under a desk that is against a wall as it protrudes too far to use and reach your keyboard or mouse. You would need space for it to extend past the front of your desk. Just a terribly designed product. Take a pass on this one people.

I have one and LOVE it. Unless someone is REALLY listening, you cannot hear it. I have restless leg syndrome and this helps so much.
