THESE PHONES ARE TERRIBLE FOR RECEPTION. I BOUGHT BRAND NEW ONES AND HATE THEM.
I will buy if someone can confirm for sure that you can disable the answering machine altogether, i.e. after a power outage the thing don’t reset to factory settings or something like in them cheap ones.
I had these and got cable provided phone to lower my bills… well lightening hit about a block away lost all the phones and a tv. so far I’ve replaced the phones but, woot I need a new TV.
These cordless phones use BT-446 cordless phone batteries.
Cordless phones are increasingly making use of standard AA or AAA NiMH batteries instead of the usual semi-proprietary cordless batteries, so consider that in your valuation of this product.
Good luck!

r3furb = cheap = woot! = good deal
I am so tempted to get a set for my parents who have been “testing” cordless phones for about 10 years. They all seem to have audio quality issues.
The water testers yesterday were not so tempting.
Darn it, NOW they come out with the 5.8ghz ones. I got the 2.4ghz ones they offered a few months back. For us, they’re perfect, because we live in a 3 bedroom apartment that actually has one 1 phone jack in the living room. Now, we’ve got a phone in every room. This things are ribs (I can’t believe I’m actually saying the word ribs, yes, ribs, not c o o l, ribs. I hope I don’t start talking like this in public.)
I’m in for a set for the parents.
They want something wall mountable, and their current setup brings their WiFi to a crashing halt.
best phone i ever had for 2 years never had a problem
Honestly… I have a set of 2.4’s (x4)… and unfortunately they have worked flawlessly for three years and continue towork perfectly, or I would have rationale to purchase these phones. I especially like the fact I have a phone on my patio and in rooms with no jacks. The speakerphone is really clear and comes in handy when I am online and need to enter data from a caller.
As far as refurb goes, I have never purchased a refurb that didn’t work. I have however purchased new items that were destined to be refurbs. For $50, how can you miss?
I rarely endorse anything, but this is a decent product at a great price… If you’re considering it, I say roll the dice.
I wooted yesterday. Will let ya know how they work.
I’ve had these for about a year and have expanded to 8 handsets. They work great for me. No problems with reception or interference.
again, it would be a great price if only they were new and not used.
I do these with roter. Set if linksis to ch. 11 and the problem will be gone. Hope I help. Have a good day.

At this price you could seriously consider buying two or three sets and selling the extra base stations.
You could essentially buy a 7-handset system for $100 or a 10 handset system (the maximum per base station) for $150. That makes the value even more attractive.
Good luck!
Jon
Maybe you ought to get a picture.
Seriously though, it is wall-mountable. Search Amazon.com for a detailed description.
Hm I’ll have to check that out. Since I use a VOIP service I have yet another cheap UPS hooked at the one router.
Anyone else getting server error when trying to purchase?
I bought these last time, they work great. I bought a few extra handsets at a later date - they also worked perfectly with the set.
I’m in for this deal… for my summer house.
Seriously, I’ve never had a problem with the last bunch of these from Woot – and they were also refurbished. No problems whatsoever.
