I bought the three handset version of this (mainstream retail store, $89) and it functions very well overall. I haven’t had any issues with voice quality or signal whatsoever. I’ve since expanded it to five handsets with no complications.

At this price, I’d strongly recommend this phone.

Got this first. Woot!

4 stars on Buzzillions is good…

cordless phone wont do me much good in college dorms, too much interference

Bought this for my parents before, works really well. I would recommend it. Wish woot would sell the expansion handsets by them self, I’d snatch up 3 of them.

I have this with a total of 5 handsets and I have two of them within the first year that signal “out of range” if I stand up from the couch. They sit on their charging bases all the time–so that’s not the problem. Fine as long as I don’t want to move–but then—what’s the point of cordless??? I’m lookin’ to hook up the old pink princess phone again…where is that box of memories???

I just bought a Panasonic KXTG8232B DECT set 3 weeks ago for double this price!!

DANG IT!!!1//bbq

No interference:
"The most notable new models use a recently approved bandwidth that’s reserved solely for voice communications - that means you won’t get interference from a Wi-Fi network, microwave oven or cordless video-game controllers. These phones use technology called DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication) along with a frequency of 1.9 GHz. "

Up to 16 hours talk time and 10 hours standby

HUMM… I bet it is 10 days standby… as battery lasts longer in use than standby…naw… bet it is a miss type…

True to its name…at 1.9 GHz I doubt you’d get interference. Most everything runs at 2.4 or 5.8 ghz.

Any way to exchange the low-end unidens I ordered from woot a couple days ago for these GOOD ones?@?

TWO-LINE SETS WOULD BE NICE FOR A CHANGE. UNIDEN SYSTEMS ARE USUALLY VERY RELIABLE. OK BYE.

Been waiting for a cheap phone system with speakerphone on handsets.
Hope it arrives before I leave for thanksgiving.

Hm, I’m looking for a phone that reads off the caller ID… more or less. Don’t think this one does it.

Need for gift… people who wear glasses do not enjoy having to scramble the things on just to read “private caller” on a caller ID. :stuck_out_tongue:

Simple: No headset jack = No sale.

Ignore this. I just checked the owner’s manual and found out it does in fact have a headset jack. Sorry.

I have five of the handsets with my base unit. Works great . . no complaints here!

Still waiting on my first w00t! . . . (although my shirt/wine purchases are numerous . . . )

Evilsmoo - This one does NOT read off names . . but you can set ringtones for specific callers . . . my old Panasonic set read the names, but the interference from the non-DECT set wasn’t worth it.

Highest possible recommendation. I’ve never had a cordless with better range. One of the phone batteries was DOA, but Uniden replaced it immediately.
