Great price on a great detector.

Highly recommend the R3.

Question: I had one “back in the day”, but do people really use these things anymore?

Does this (or any) radar NOT false all the time due to car collision avoidance radar? Seems like the auto technology has made or is making these radar detectors almost useless.

Yeah- I have the same question. I’ve got a great idea for a new device that will save way more time. How about something that will deliver a 360 joule shock when it take a driver more than 3 seconds to realize the light has changed (and the shock is doubled if they’re on their phone).

Way ahead of you.

Currently developing an app which will sense when the light has changed and send the driver a text. They’ll see that right away!

Absolutely!!

Mine has saved me a countless number of times.

While it’s true that these stupid crash avoidance systems cause a high number of false alarms, I’d rather deal with that than deal with getting pulled over.

Great idea!!It will also need to take a selfie and automatically upload it to their Instagram account, then maybe with the notification they get from the new post, they can “like it” then proceed on with cautiously applying the accelerator.

Those falses are exactly what this detector filters out - both GPS-based static falses like K-band from a door sensor, and BSM (blind spot monitor) and other sensors from new systems in cars. Both are why I am replacing my Bel 995 with this. Been waiting for a deal. Woo!

I found myself ignoring (and using mute button on) almost every k-band, then when the cops drove by actually using K-band I realized my detector was becoming useless due to the falses.

This is considered to have the best anti-false alert DSP. I’ve been using mine for about 3 months and it does have false alerts, but very few.

The Radenso Pro M is the only windshield mount detector to filter the Acura/Honda bsm. Even the R3, as awesome as it is, does false to those systems. The Radenso however does not have the range the R3 has.

That being said, if this is a factory refurbished, I am in for one.

How about when your own car has laser cruise? Is there a decent chance this would work with my Audi with laser cruise, or will I set off my own alarm?

Can anyone confirm if this is a factory refurbish or who did the refurbish?

I’d like to know the same thing… are these all factory refurbs - or could they come from any of the sources in Woot’s generic description of “Refurbished” - which is “Refurbished covers everything from buyers’ remorse returns and products whose defects have been repaired by the pros to damaged packaging and discontinued items. If you can accept their checkered past, refurbs have a lot of love to give.”

…but whatever. I’m rolling the dice. In for TWO!

This is refurbished by a third party refurbishing company. We include the condition on all the items we sell under the price on the sale page.

I’ve had the R3 for many months now. I have a VW Passat with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Q7 with ACC and there are no falsing from that, BSM (blind side monitoring), etc.

In City mode which reduces the K band sensitivity, you have very little falsing from even the worse Acura, etc offenders related to BSM. And Uniden updates continue to refine and filter out erroneous signals that share the same police radar frequencies.

This unit contains laser alert, but laser alert is just that - it alerts you that you were already hit by police radar.

Have the same Bel 995 and just started to bug the crap out of me going off every dang second. And it really picked up this year.

And now, something I would buy here on Woot. Or should say would have if in stock.
Woot’s fault anyway, I don’t get to excited looking for my Woot email deals for the day every AM.

Got mine yesterday - FWIW it says in the zipper pouch thingy “factory refurbished.” Which factory? I would assume “the” - meaning Uniden’s, but I guess you never know!
