Donât you know you are supposed to use a banana for measurement
Do you use raw ones or canned? Cooked or just throw them in?
Fig, Cricket and Watson will eat fruit and veggies - no problem, they love them
Perry may have 1 piece and then he has had enough
Remi would rather starve to death
Canned - Always âNo Salt Addedâ, and usually the French Style (because you get a lot more in the can then you do with the kitchen cut/regular). Right out of the can. About 1/4 cup added to the top of his kibble.
Although he does love fresh/frozen too, I just canât have them on hand 365, and the canned are cheap and easy.
I donât think there is a fruit he does not like! But bananas, blueberries, watermelon and strawberries are favorites.
Veggies - he isnât a fan of lettuce, and generally likes his other ones cooked instead of raw.
Same with the fruit here - I canât sit down to eat any without having 10x as much as I would bc everyone wants some, especially bananas and blueberries
The pups love fresh tomatoes. My neighbor grew over 100 plants this year, so we have piles of all different kinds - Watson will even take a smaller regular tomato without it being cut up. They love the cherry tomatoes, we sit with a bowl of them like popcorn
Weâve been feeding Maggie carrots as treats to help with her weight. She popped up to 85Lbs.
Maggie will eat just about anything, even lettuce.
Duke canât eat lettuce because of the condition of his teeth.
Maybe I need to give Maggie some haricot vert in place of some kibble. I always have them on hand ( frozen) because they are my favorite!
I bought some carrots and assorted new fruits today for them to try - some fresh, some dried and some freeze dried. Totally forgot the green beans - isnât that the way with grocery shopping.
I will report back.
(Pups eat dried bananas, apples and sweet potatoes, already - Perry only likes the SP, and Remi takes them and spits them out)
Just watch out for the added sugar if there is any in the dried and feeeze dried fruit.
I love dried fruit, but that damn added sugar always gets me. We dehydrate it ourselves from time to time.
I should pull out my doggy recipes and make some home made treats!
I hope everyone enjoys the new snacks.
I am always amused by what dogs will and wonât eat.
Theyâll consume some pretty disgusting stuff, but turn their noses up at veg. Go figure!
