Did you miss it? Here are some Crappy Tips

1. Stay Logged In - When the current item reaches 5%, log out of woot and log back in to keep your session fresh
2. Keep your cart clean - Clear out any sold out items from your cart
3. Refresh the Community Page - New items show up faster on the community page than they do on the main page. When an item is sold out, the forums are the place to be.
4. Click the image - Make sure you are clicking on the image of the crap, and not the text. This will get you directly to the Add to Cart page, and save you some more time

Check your payment info, but assuming it’s correct, it sold out between you hitting “Place Order” and it actually processing your payment.

(I only say check your payment info because I spent the entire last Wootoff trying to buy BoC only to realize today that my payment info was wrong. :c)

Can’t seem to get past the cart. I think this is the 7th one I’ve had in my cart :frowning:

Based on the statistic of who bought, how long they’ve been on the site etc, I think it is safe to say that there were only 5 bags available.

It is interesting how they’ve changed the approach from the early days of Woot - back then, there were perhaps a few hundred bags all sold together. Now they trickle them out in 5s and 10s just to keep you coming back. Sneakly.

yeah this is almost impossible if people are using bots for this… there were 60% left when it finally refreshed and STILL said sold out…come on! smh

I was hitting F5 on the previous item constantly and had very little server lag, and when the BOC came up, I immediately clicked on it but got the sold out banner over the add to cart button. That is just such BS. it wasn’t more than 2 seconds between appearing and sold out, GOODBYE WOOT.

i didnt use a bot to get mine. i got my fair and square. used the community method. clicking on the picture takes you straight to the purchase page.

The bot (aka WootStalker) is actually slower than the website. I don’t even think you’d have a good chance if you were using it.

you also tend to have your purchase pulled from your cart if the system sees that you used a bot as well
