I was on the fence about purchasing a $300 item. This extra 20% off nearly made me click buy. But seeing it would only be $20 returns the money to my pocket. Too bad.

While I can relate. It’s really on the customer to fully read the terms and conditions of the sale before buying. Every retailer I know will always put the eye catching part in big caps, but you should follow the advice “there’s always a catch” that way you’ve never caught by surprise. And woot actually makes it nice and easy for you to read.

It is just mind-boggling to me that a shopping site says “Here’s an EXTRA discount for you.”
And then folks complain.

Now if you were adding 20% to the end price, I might understand frustrations.

But not having to spend as much, and STILL get complaints?
