I use this and it works.
I meant to ask you more about king cakes last night but I fell asleep.
So up here one of the grocery stores will offer one, but it looks like a log of cinnamon rolls with white icing and colored sugar. Is that right?
yeah, but that is typical.
You can get the same taste year round with these items

I thought you said not to buy one at Walmart? How am I ever going to find out what these are supposed to be?
dont buy a completed king cake at walmart from whatever garbage baker they get them from. no problem with getting the ingredients there to make your own.
my list is a cheap knock off. i used the Thomas mini bagels and fooled people at a party. it was funny.
I can not imagine how a bagel tasted anything like a king cake???
That’s bagels with cinnamon-sugar cream cheese, LOL.
Oooooohhhh. You mean bake one myself.
dont knock it until you try it.
I’m not saying it isn’t tasty - but it isn’t the right texture for “cake”
yes, home made king cakes are the best when you make them traditional.
mine was just a 30 second hack.
…and you can’t forget to add the baby!!!
What? Babies? Nope. Nevermind.
Yes, you can’t have a king cake without a lil plastic baby hidden inside.
The person who gets the slice with the baby-toy, gets good luck!
See, that looks like angel food cake.
bakers dont put the baby in them anymore, they are in the box for you to do yourself. too many people choking and suing. i never put them in, i have a jar full of plastic babies, it looks evil.
It’s not as light as angelfood - much closer to a fluffy cinnamon roll consistency (but light on the cinnamon). Kinda like if a coffee cake had a baby with a cinnamon roll!
more like your basic German rolled cinnamon roll. Some have a croissant texture.
Ahhh thanks. I’ve always wondered what they were.
