I’ve never had a boombox with a CD player. I had several boomboxes in the 80s.

My first and only was a Sony $800 awesome top of the line loaded with CD Cassette equalizer. I think the year mini CDs started coming out in San Francisco. Circa 87…

I had several with CD players, including a massive Sony one with a 5 CD changer. There were a couple of boom boxes that had vinyl record players too.
