At 18.4 oz this seems quite heavy. Anyone have any experience with these scopes?
Also does anyone know if this will work on an ruger AR-556 or will the front sight ramp block it?

You should be ok with it. There may be a dark shaded spot but the focus is past the front sight area. Or, any scope I have experience with on an ar works fine that way. I do not have first hand knowledge on this particular scope though. Really, this is so cheap if it doesn’t work, craigslist it and move on.

I have this scope and have it mounted on an AR. It is somewhat heavy and fairly large. The optics are very clear and bright, and it does well in low light conditions. It was easy to zero, and has held. After a year and probably 300 rounds, no problems. I actually shot it about 12 hours ago, (after some rough treatment on a 4-wheeler by my son) and it was still right on. I have two of these, but the second one has a built in laser, and it works well too.

Will it handle a shotgun ?

It doesn’t appear to have any hands, so I think that might be a challenge for it.

Mine had a manufacturing defect in that the illumination for the reticle brightly lit the end of the tube too. Heavy, bright optics, short eye clearance

Funny
But seriously shotguns are harder on scopes than rifles
