I’m using one now, score it on black friday at frys.
A froogling we shall go…
How much did you get it for? And how do you like it?
I haven’t looked at monitors in awhile, but this seems like a really good deal. hmmmm. i’d say i’d sleep on it, but i can’t while the woot off is going … BAC
This isn’t HD right?
Eh…not the best deal. I’d stick with a more well-known brand for a few bucks more.
Better bet: $159.99 Acer X223Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 2500:1 - Retail
Check it out at Newegg (this monitor often drops $10 or $20 there from its current price): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009145
wow this looks like a great price and its not a refurb.
I can barely find any reviews on this monitor.
For around $140 shipped if you add the 3-year Squaretrade warranty, it’s a pretty good deal.
It goes for $160 on Amazon.
Kinda makes me regret buying the wife a 19" Acer 1440x900 for $99 from Newegg back in December.
Scratch it, I believe the answer below may be correct! Thanks for the fix!
I believe anything above 720 is HD.
Yeah, it’s the men’s room of the old CBGB’s.
it’s a monitor, not a TV. no TV tuner. monitors aren’t described as “HD” or not…it’s a TV term. you’re not going to be able to find a computer monitor that’s not HD unless you go back to 1991.
warm deal b/c offbrand and you can get the same size, resolution for basically the same price if you know how to dealhunt.
i got one of these on black friday too from frys.
over all i like it. just because it a pretty big screen for my pc.
its very bright. it took awhile for my eyes to get used to the brightness.
and i cant figure out how to adjust the brightness… oh wait just did cool.
one thing i think everyone should be aware of is that after about a month of use mine started to make this crackling noise when ever it turned on. it would decrescendo to niente after a few mins tho.
Check that bubba, I’ve recently seen monitors listed as HD, see link http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9218731&st=9218786%2C+9218777%2C+9162684%2C+9219204%2C+9218731&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1218061080695. So apparently some monitors are now considered HD. Did a plain old google search on this and came up with a regular price of $120 on this as well as a Fry’s sale price of $99.99 a few months back, come on Woot this is no sellout, give us a better deal.
