Vitamix is da kind. Expensive but worth every penny. This price is great, similar to what I paid for mine @ Costco years ago.
Won’t last long.
Is it new?
It’s the “unopened Box” catagory.
So you will probably receive an item that has never been used.
It has a Woot 90 day warranty, but I recall others have said Vitamix did grant a longer warranty when they called to register it. Can’t promise, tho’.
I have this also, paid around $80-90 more.
Great deal.
These units are flying off the shelves. Get em before they are gone.

So the typical 7 year warranty would not apply here?
Correct. This comes with a 90 day Woot warranty.
There’s nothing stopping you from trying to register it with Vitamix, however there’s no guarantee it would be accepted. That’s why you get a 90 Woot warranty.
(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)
Dearest Wooter. You’ve stumbled upon a very special condition. The mysterious “Unopened” is unique indeed. Items with this condition are pristine and glowing in their unsullied beauty.
Oh, and they come with a 90-day Woot! warranty because reasons.
I bought one the last time Woot has this same offer, and it was only within the last month or so.
When I opened the box, there was a date of manufacturer on it: Sept 10, 2021. Since today is August 1, 2023, it means it’s about two years old. Since the box was sealed, it doesn’t mean it was used for two years. Simply that it was manufactured a couple of years ago, and probably sat in a warehouse for a long time, for some reason.
I was able to call Vitamix and yes, they did give me the standard 7-year warranty!
I consider this a good deal. However, when I make smoothies in it, I smell burning wire insulation… I’m actually on the fence whether or not I should return this to Woot for a refund and try again, or perhaps getting Woot involved. Just got this not too long ago, as I said, so haven’t made up my mind yet.
Called Vitamix?
Vitameatavegimen and it’s TASTY TOO!

Sorry! Yeah, I called Vitamix. I’ll try to edit my comment. Thanks.
Just my luck I bought one at Costco (an E520) just this week for $318, but I think I’ll keep the Costco one for the expansive return policy, even if maybe this is the better deal. Unless, of course, one of y’all can talk me out of that.
Call Vitamix for help, but I find this usually happens with new appliances. They might have that smell for a bit. It usually goes away.
I’ve read that the electrical burning smell is normal on the Vitamix when new. It should go away after use.
This happens with more powerful motors.
Same happened with my slow juicer. Thought it would ignite! Then found out it is normal & all has been good. If it’s still there after multiple uses, call Vitamix CS. They’re great!
All Vita’s can do it all. So your E520 is a very capable machine with a good warranty.
The pro’s of having a 750 is a slightly stronger motor & a noticably quieter machine with extra presets.
Both have the squattier 64 oz container. It fits under most cabinets but is harder to make smaller portions.
I solved this issue by picking up a steel container on Amazon for $150. Can do smaller amounts & harder things like nut butters easily. Also nice for soups or ice creams as it holds temps better.
Would recommend over the ear headphones. They help.
My parents had one that looked like this back in the seventies, and still do. It had a dial and everything. It still works and they still use it. So what like 50+ years and still working? I guess worth it eh?
Goner. Sold out.
