Anyone able to tell me about the sound on this? Better off with a soundbar or what?

Whatcha think? Kitchen TV? Guest room? Kid’s first TV?

Tell me what you think!

I think it’s a good deal. My 26" Walmart Black Friday VIZIO office TV is getting a little wonky–it won’t always power up and I have to unplug it to reset it.

But I ordered a 39" refurb VIZIO from Woot just yesterday to replace it! Had this deal been active I would have gotten this one instead.

Oh well, I’ve been wanting a little bigger screen anyway. This is a pretty good deal though…hmm…I don’t have a TV in my bedroom and have been resisting the urge…hmm.

I just bought brand new last week from Amazon for 199. 2 day shipping free with my Prime account.

Ah, interesting. I was just going to chime in that the two refurb Vizio’s that I’ve purchased here are both slightly wonky. One I have in my granddaughter’s room and randomly won’t pick up the wifi for days at a time. But most of the time it works fantastic. The other one I have in my bedroom (different house) and is starting to do what you described, either not powering up, or no longer responding to either the remote or the buttons on the TV. I’ve had both for about a year. I’m figuring I get what I paid for and the picture and sound are quite good. I can easily deal with small random problems and for kids that put so much wear and tear on things like the ones in my life - this is a great buy.

For Amazon Prime users - the interface leaves something to be desired when comparing it with a Roku interface, I can’t seem to find a way to access my Watchlist, which is a definite downside. Netflix interface is excellent and will autoplay the next show in a series or similar style movie.

For those wondering, the Netflix app DOES recognize multiple profiles and let’s you switch between them.

Yup. For AMZN Prime customers like us that is the way to go. I have enough trouble sleeping without adding a TV to the mix for now.

Someday, I might add in a TV to my bedroom, but for now it’s a TV-free zone.

A $25 discount for a refurb over getting a brand new TV isn’t such a good deal anyway.
