I dunno. I scored this at the Costco last year. Pretty happy with it. At lot of speaker for the price. I reckon these refabs are okay. Good luck!

Picked one of these up a few days ago and installed i this weekend. Seems really nice. The subwoofer is a nice touch.

Was thinking about this, but looked at the amazon reviews. Over 40% of the reviews are 1-star.

While people are more likely to write a review when they are angry than when they are pleased, it still seems pretty clear that someone is doing a crap job of refurbishing these. Or they are a crappy product that likely fails straight out of the box or within days or weeks.

All that said, I do appreciate that woot includes a link to the reviews.

Bought this in January. No problems so far. Pretty good sound for a family room setting. Only cons are that it uses a system of lights to indicate settings that requires some learning, and volume controls are in such wide increments that at times it leaves you wishing there was a dial.

How does CEC work with this since there are no HDMI ports? I currently have a Vizio TV with a Samsung Soundbar. The CEC works at turning on the TV, but not linking the sound (IE. I have to mute the soundbar speaker via remote and then when I unmute it the sound links up). This is frustrating because I still need 3 remotes: TV, Soundbar, & Amazon (although the TV can navigate Amazon, but it won’t wake it up). I’m thinking if I replace my soundbar with Vizio to match my TV this should work better.
