I would like the full surround sound effects but not sure it’s worth the extra $80.

I have the 2014 version with 5.1. I can’t speak to the additional satellite speakers - they work fine, but a lot of the programming I watch doesn’t make use of them.
The 5.1 set you linked does include a subwoofer, which would probably be the biggest enhancement to your viewing/listening experience.

Anyone else get theirs yet? Seems if I press any button on another remote (TV, DVD player whatever) the volume goes up on the soundbar. Regardless of the button pressed on another brand remote.

That’s odd, for sure. It does have a 30-day VIZIO warranty. You might contact them to see if it’s something they can troubleshoot.

If that doesn’t work out, please use the Customer Service form for assistance.

Thanks for the reply, I worked with the VIZIO tec support and it seems my sounbar is defective. Contacted Woot Customer support and they are taking care of me. I haven’t had to send a lot of stuff back but I have to say woot! customer service does a fine job. ~peaty
