Mediocre price. No tuner. No real warranty. No subwoofer.
You can get a 55" 4K for less than $300 these days.
I’ve noticed not having a tuner saves the manufacturer money, but hardly translates to the consumer.
I agree with you in that you can get a sub $300 55” 4K. But you get what you pay for.
Interestingly, I purchased an M series Vizio (this model), but larger screen size last summer and completely LOVE IT. Image is quality and the smart tv is really easy to use: I can use Vudu, amazon prime, and google Cast to the tv without any additional dongles. I use Directv, so I don’t need the tuner.
There are two sets series TVs under this series d series (avg ~$399), e series (~$449), and then the M series ($699), which I think one of their top series.
Fast forward to this past month: I purchased one of those $300 tvs. Quality is shite. Pancake faces. Limited HDR, low brightness. I realized how good an M series tv is. I returned that one.
This is a really good tv for a really good price and you get a subwoofer saving you $60-$100 more.

The check out the ratings for the cheaper model series TVs. It starts at tvs in the 5s and goes to tvs in the 7s. Huge jump in quality.
Thanks for listening.
