VIZIO TVS

I’ve owned 3 Vizio LED tv’s of various types, a 32" about 1 year old, a 42" about 4 years old, and a 55" a few months old. i have had great experiences with all three. Bang for the buck wise, they are a very good value, particularly with the prevalence to have 4 HDMI inputs, vice 2 for many budget TV’s.

It may not compare to a high end Sony or LG in picture quality, but its really only noticeable if its sitting next to one. In your living room, it looks great. Only minor issue might be blues being a bit saturated, but pretty good other than that.

Never imagined the day would come when I could buy an EIGHTY INCH LCD with a month’s salary.

I have to agree. We’ve got three Vizios scattered around the house. One was purchased somewhere around a decade ago and still is just fine. One is a woot purchase from a year or so ago.

Remote on them need to be reset a couple of times, but their customer support (and instructions on their website) are great.

According to Amazon and other sites, this is actually 60hz not 120hz, Atleast when you go down to the compare models part. It might be one of those things where at 720p it’s 120hz and 1080p it’s 60hz

The 2013 40" M series is 1080p/120hz for sure! No need to worry about 60hz here.

What is the difference between factory reconditioned and refurbished?

A “factory reconditioned” item was returned, inspected, and restored to fully working condition by the original manufacturer or a certified partner. And the original manufacturer stands behind it with a warranty. It’s as close to new as you can get without technically being “new”.

Refurbished covers everything from buyers’ remorse returns and products whose defects have been repaired by the pros to damaged packaging and discontinued items. If you can accept their checkered past, refurbs have a lot of love to give.

I’m confused about the high cost for a one-year SquareTrade warranty. If you go to SquareTrade’s site, a 4-year warranty on that TV is only 299.99. Is it because it’a refurb?

Yes, SquareTrade reorganized how they offer warranties for new and refurbished products a while back.

Thanks for the reply.

So one could buy this refurb with a one-year SquareTrade warranty for $3049.98. Or one could buy this same model new with its included one-year manufacturer warranty from Amazon for $2999.99.

Not the biggest slam-dunk I’ve ever seen on Woot.

Are these TV’s factory refurbished or just refurbished ? Thanks …

Hi I don’t don’t when I placed the order, how long you will progress the shipment. I couldn’t track a standard information. I placed my order on July 14, the order status is still shipping and which means the product not ship yet. Also I can’t the customer twice, no one reply me! The bill already take from my account. This is my first time shopping on woot! I don’t know how much should I trust you? I really need hear a responded from you!!

Never mind, I just got the shipping information today, and the product also.

Ordered the 28 in. on Tues. Received on Sat. Set it up and the screen was a mess! Damaged crystal (or whatever) so bad that only the bottom 3-4 inches of screen had a visible pic. Waiting for response from customer service… Disappointed to say the least…

The specs say that the VIZIO M601D-A3 60" has a native refresh rate of 60hz. Is this true? I was hoping for at least 120.

Is it ok to go with 720p for a 32" TV, or is it worth shelling out more money for a 1080p at that size?

I watch a decent amount of TV, but I’m not exactly a quality snob. This TV will be in the bedroom and will probably only be used for Netflix.

I’m trying to get shipping information on my order. Got the email confirmation that it shipped a week ago. Fed-ex says it still can’t find my 7-digit (don’t think this is a valid length)tracking number. Anyone else get a 7-digit tracking number that worked?

I’m anxious to get my awesome new TV (and want to be there when its delivered)! What’s the deal?

Anyone else have issues with a tracking number?

It’s been two weeks and I have no TV or working tracking number!
