I have one of these in black purchased through the mothership, and the arrangement of the velcro securing straps is not well thought out. While the arrangement may work on a rifle with larger buttstocks, there is just not a good way to secure it to a standard Savage or Ruger .22 rimfire bolt rifle (both of which can benefit from the addition of a higher comb that this pad would otherwise provide) without crossing and wrapping the straps at odd angles just to make the hook portions of the velcro actually contact the loop portions. And even at that, there is barely any contact between them.
As I say, it might work much better with considerably larger buttstocks.
