I bought a smaller one a while ago. Best fan ever.

Check out what @improfound said about Vornado’s customer service a few sales ago.

WHAT… Just one month ago, I bought one of these on here for $49.99 more! It was a pretty good deal at that, it’s a great deal at $29.99. If you’ve been thinking about getting one, stop. Just get it.

I bought this last month on Woot for 49.99 - drat! Oh well I love this fan. It doesn’t work for every room (some spaces need a standing fan where there are no tables or a slimmer box fan for the window) but right now it resides on a living room side-table where it freshens a big space. Small, quiet, powerful, and I run it constantly. Very happy so far.

According to this review http://www.amazon.com/review/R3480AYF6Q0X86/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00005J3AN This fan was $60 in 2005.

On woot itself, it has dropped from $50 to $40 to now $30. In for one, even if these are now made in china. My history with these fans has been excellent. My first one only broke because it fell out of a windowsill.

In for two. Bought one here a month ago for $10 more. Placed well, these will save you money. We use one to blow cooler air from the hallway into a bedroom that lacks cross ventilation. Makes a huge difference.

Darn it! Just bought 3 of these last week at $39.99 and they got here on Monday.
Maybe I will buy 3 more as they will go great in the new house when I get it.

Vornado customer service is great. I gave one of my older fans to a friend. It is one of the ones on a stand. Her son knocked it over and cracked the grill. She just called them up and they sent her a new grill for free.

grabbed 2 for this price. what a great deal.

On front page; Made in the USA

I payed 44.99 for this here on home woot a few weeks back…I bought 3 more just now. Nuff said.

Vornado Vortex Action completley surronds you in comfort while helping you save in energy costs.

*Completely

I have an old Vornado 510 that has run every single night for so many years I lost track. It’s still incredibly quiet and moves a lot more air than other fans I’ve used or purchased.

Their small zippi fans are great too, but I had two fail on me, so I’ll stick with their larger fans like this one.

Good price. You do pay a premium for Vornado, though, so you’re getting this at about the same price as the equivalent Honeywell, and both last equally long in my experience(I run my fans basically 24/7).

Did some DD, looks like a great company. The warranty is 5 years I believe.

Hard to say where they’re made. I just looked at the bottom label of one of my Vornado 630’s, and while it listed the company as being in Andover, KS, immediately following that it says “MADE IN CHINA”. Nonetheless, while not quiet even on low, it moves the air better than any fan I’ve ever owned. I have two of them, purchased from Costco a few years ago at $39.99 each. This discontinued item deal appears on par with that!

My grandmother had one of the early Vornados (Vornadoes?) when I was a kid- aqua green model as I recall and made of steel- and it too was great. For those nostalgic folk who might be interested, they have a modern day version of that fan on the mother ship for $129.

Vornado fans blow away the Honeywells and other competition. And the company’s customer service is a breath of fresh air. Way cool.

I have several Vornado fans and they work very well; the logos on all of them have the red label on front- wonder if the blue label is supposed to mean it’s a different line or is that just the new look now.
