I hate to shoot your woot but the panels are available at many DIY stores for $10-12 per panel (I got mine at Menards for $8 each on sale, $10 each regular price) and you can buy the other part separately (buy what you need not what some company decides you need ) for $2-6 each. FYI.
Menards doesn’t sell Wall Control brand and I’m pretty sure they only sell the cheap’o round hole stuff that doesn’t give you many hooking options or a shelving system. I know you can get cheap plastic or press-board panels, maybe even thin metal panels, for next to nothing but for quality, strength, and versatility this is as good of a deal as you’ll find.
I picked up this set the last time it was offered on woot. The panels went up easy enough since there are no spacers needed or anything like that. I found that their hooks, hangers, etc work slightly better than standard peg accessories. It’s also pretty handy in that you can hang magnetic things on it like glove dispensers, etc.
Just a happy customer who received an email from Wall Control this morning that the deal was going on at Woot.com… didn’t mean to cause a hissy fit on this message board though
And same with a samurai sword crafted to perfection that can cut a small tree in half…what is your point? Do you think your house’s worth is based just on the raw material? This guy sees the value in the product so why accuse him for being a vendor plant? How many questions can I ask in a single post?
you didnt cause a hissy fit we just get tired of company shills promoting stuff from a biased point of view. we see it over and over. and it sticks out like a sore thumb.
I understand your hesitance, but with our email marketing campaigns going on, this may happen more often where someone has joined today with no direct affiliation to the brand we’re selling.
Rest assured, if this kind of thing happens, we check with our buyers/vendors to see if it is really them and label them as needed.
I think you mean they sell THIS for $67. The panels you link to alone may be $31.49, but this woot deal includes the hooks and whatnots, which is the $67 deal on amazon, please get your links right or begone. (btw the real compared product is linked above in the amazon and homedepot reviews post, so I am not going to bother linking it here.)
I have installed these panels in a utility closet here at work. We use them to organize all the 100 foot extension cords + other power accessories we store in there.
I love it. They installed easy and are very strong. We are using some simple Peg hooks from an assortment pack but the slot hooks that also fit into these panels are even better.
I cannot recommend these panels enough. Looks like this woot sale saves you about $12 per set after shipping vs buying on Amazon. I just wish I had not blown my monthly tool allowance on black friday.
