TA 6.7 g/L

Looks like this will be pretty sweet but some of that may be offset by the high acidity.
Is that really residual sugar 6.6?
Sounds high, but “off-dry” ranges 10~30g/L.
In one testing where a sample was 6.4g/L, 23 of 31 called it ‘not-sweet’ with only 7 selecting ‘sweet’, while one was unsure.
At 7.4g/L it was 17/13/1
At 9.4g/L it was 11/18/2
and not until 11.4g/L did it get to 4/26/1.
Really gotta wonder about that one person.
That would be my dad. I’m pretty sure his taste buds have been destroyed.
People often mistake sweet fruit for sugar, sugar in wine at these levels is more in the mouth feel than in taste for me.
Rats, calling any rats!
They have the 2013 rose for $8.33 a bottle with an additional 10% case discount. Unfortunately they don’t ship to California (WTF!) so I can’t get a shipping estimate.
Shipping 6 bottles to Illinois is $25.67 ground, plus $3.50 tax total $79.15
Shipping 12 bottles to Illinois is $39.96 ground plus $6.30 tax for total $136.22 with the discount.
Thanks for working that out. Wasn’t sure which was a better deal without knowing the shipping charge.
No ship to CA! Don’t see that often.
So, if it’s Sold by: Precept Wine (no ship to CA per their web site), and woot claims
*Thanks to stick-in-the-mud buzzkilling state legislators, wine may only be delivered to the following states:
California, Colorado, Connecticut, District Of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming*
Exactly how does this work?
Woot can ship to states that the winery is not licensed for!?
This should raise some eyebrows to those locked out of other offers.
Waterboook checkout page for CA and yes, it’s .aspx so won’t work for you…
We are not able to ship wine to your state
State laws restrict or prevent shipping wine directly
to consumers in some states.
That can’t be right. i’ll check, but don’t worry about it.
Geeze, WD killed the thread; but hopefully not sales.
