Why can’t I search Woot. I get an email, see item, then have to manually search until I get bored or frustrated and quit.

Oh so many reasons.
Constantly changing inventory means we’re return “not found” more often than not.
Small developer team, always something that’s a higher priority

You can search the forums and sort by “latest topic”. It usually works.
I’ve bet you, or someone on the tech team, has heard of SaaS, PaaS, etc. (Software as a Service, Platform as a Service).
What about a monthly subscription to WootSearch as a Service?! HAHAHA Like a WOSEaaS. A whole new industry and revenue stream!

You need a “search” jar on your desk.
Every time you’re asked for a search option someone from IT has to put a dollar in the jar.

I always looked at it kind of like the bargain bins at pretty much any store. It’s kinda sorted, movies in this bin, electronics in this one, toys in that one, etc.
For teh most part, stuff is just thrown in there, if you find it, you found it, if not, maybe it was never really there!
